Insurers report that claimants diagnosed with RSD/CRPS I represent roughly 1% of their cases but  account for close to 20% of their medical losses.

Reserves for RSD/CRPS I cases are typically set in excess of $1 million.

As mentioned earlier, as many as 71 of 100 chronic pain sufferers diagnosed with RSD/CRPS I don’t actually have it. Instead, they almost always actually have peroneal, tibial, ulnar, or saphenous nerve entrapments.

Compared to the projected medical losses associated with claimants diagnosed with RSD/CRPS I, the costs of nerve entrapment surgery, and of the Diagnostic Paradigm and Treatment Algorithm itself, are relatively insignificant. This is especially so given that, the moment reserves associated with RSD/CRPS I are released, they migrate directly to insurance carriers’ bottom lines.

Although this may seem like an extreme example, the fact is that, given its price of $800, administering the Diagnostic Paradigm and Treatment Algorithm to all claimants suffering from chronic pain of the back, neck, and/or limbs will pay for itself many times over.
